Dr. Irene May Cagula-Escauso is a seasoned IT professional and academic leader with over 13 years of experience in higher education. She currently serves as the IT Program Head at St. Francis Xavier College, Surigao City, Philippines , where she leads curriculum development, faculty training, and research initiatives.

She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Education with a specialization in Technology Management (PhD-TM) from Surigao del Norte State University and a Master in Information Technology (MIT) from Surigao State College of Technology. Throughout her career, she has played a pivotal role in advancing IT education, mentoring students, and spearheading innovative academic programs.

Beyond academia, Dr. Escauso is actively involved in professional organizations, serving as the Regional President of the Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators (PSITE) and an appointed member of the Regional Quality Assurance Team (RQAT) of CHED-Caraga . She is also a National TVET Trainer for TESDA and a recognized resource speaker on Data Privacy Protection for DICT .

Her expertise spans IT leadership, curriculum design, web development, data privacy, and technical training . With a strong analytical mindset, a passion for mentorship, and a commitment to technological advancement, Dr. Escauso continues to shape the next generation of IT professionals.
