CIU & Acacia University Partnership
Joint Consortium Announcement CIU × AU
Cavalla International University and Acacia University strengthen academic cooperation to create new possibilities for students, faculty, and researchers. This Consortium, Academic Cooperation, and Articulation Agreement took effect September 14, 2026, and runs for five years.
Fort Myers, Florida — October 2, 2026 — Cavalla International University (CIU) and Acacia University (AU) are pleased to announce their Consortium, Academic Cooperation, and Articulation Agreement, which took effect September 14, 2026. This five-year academic partnership brings together two independent universities in a shared commitment to educational access, academic quality, professional development, and student success.
The agreement was executed by Dr. Horatius Jackie Williams, President and Chancellor of Cavalla International University, and Dr. Santarvis Brown, President of Acacia University. Together, the institutions will explore coordinated academic pathways, faculty cooperation, research initiatives, and student mobility designed to help learners build on their achievements and pursue their educational ambitions.

For current and prospective students of both CIU and AU, the Consortium provides a framework for developing clearer routes between academic programs and for connecting students with wider scholarly and professional learning experiences. As specific initiatives are approved, students may gain access to articulated study options, academic advising across institutions, guest lectures, research events, and other cooperative activities.
Pathways under exploration:
- Professional certificates and professional education
- Undergraduate education and master's degrees
- Doctoral study and doctoral research cooperation
Law and legal-education cooperation: CIU Barclay College of Law's program portfolio—including the Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Juris Doctor (JD), Master of Laws (LLM), Master of Legal Studies (MLS), and Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD)—may be considered in future cooperation where academically appropriate and separately approved. This announcement does not represent confirmation that any particular law-degree transfer or joint program has already been approved.
Beyond academic progression, the Consortium encourages both universities to identify opportunities that enrich the learning environment at each institution and foster productive relationships among students, faculty, and academic leaders.
CIU and AU remain separate and independent institutions. Each university maintains its own admissions policies, curriculum, academic standards, tuition and fees, institutional governance, and authority to award degrees. The Consortium supports collaboration while respecting each university's distinct identity and responsibilities.
A Joint Consortium Committee will guide implementation and identify programs and activities suitable for initial collaboration. Individual articulation pathways will be published with clear eligibility, transfer-credit, admissions, and completion requirements after the necessary approvals are obtained.
Students interested in the possibilities created by this partnership are encouraged to explore the academic offerings of both universities and consult the appropriate admissions or academic advising office for current information.
A Shared Invitation
"By working together, the universities aim to make academic progression more connected, scholarship more collaborative, and educational opportunity more accessible—while ensuring that every approved initiative meets the standards of the institution delivering it."
CIU and AU welcome students, faculty, researchers, and professional learners to follow the Consortium's development. · Last updated October 2026
