This program is designed to have interface of research in education. It provides students the theories, methods, and research that provide the basis for expanding knowledge and understanding of human development from an interdisciplinary perspective. The program focuses on the formation, change, and development of the individual in his or her interaction with a culture-specific context. It shall investigate learning and development, including the unique contributions of culture to these processes. For an alternative to a dissertation, students can enroll in the Option 2-degree program, the DOCTOR OF HUMAN DEVELOPMENT, LEARNING, AND CULTURE, which focuses on the application of knowledge to solve professional challenges. A capstone culminates the program.
